During our final “Taking Care of Business” broadcast on Saturday, January 21, 2022, Bridget Nesko’s husband Kevin announced that, because of the death of his wife and this newspaper’s publisher Bridget, the New Jersey Free Press LLC would no longer publish and distribute a “printed” version of this newspaper. Publishing was originally suspended in October of 2022 because of Bridget’s worsening condition due to ovarian cancer, which claimed her life on November 28, 2022 (see below). The program aired on 92.1 FM WVLT in Vineland, where Bridget hosted a talk show and interview program since 2018.

Kevin announced that a new and more exciting statewide “digital” version of the New Jersey Free Press community news service would be introduced by July 22nd of this year on this website location. New Jersey Free Press LLC and the New Jersey Free Press newspaper (and this site) will be donated to a nonprofit organization founded to broaden the New Jersey community’s access to free, independent, non-partisan hyper-local news and information coverage. The Foundation and its holdings will be directed by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees.

To keep informed about the new and exciting New Jersey Free Press community news platform, watch this space, and remember – always challenge conventional wisdom.
